Hi Alex,
I am one of your r/printexchange partners! 👋
I hope the prints found its way to you without damage (let me know if it's wrecked). It took a while for me to figure out what to send you, a cursory browse through your Reddit profile didn't really reveal too much. Instead, I looked up Corvallis and decided to attempt to send you some scenes that are a bit more foreign compared to your normal surroundings.
The photos were printed on 14 May 2024 and handed it off to be sent the next day. Like you I am an analogue camera enthusiast and would have preferred to send you only prints from film. In the end I included two digital images; when I travel sometimes I only bring digital to make life a bit easier.
You can find below the four photos along with some background information of each. Hope you enjoy.
Regards,
M.Y.T. Liu

📷 Olympus PEN E-P7 | Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 17mm F2.0 📍 Cheonggyecheon | Seoul, South Korea

👆 This was taken along Cheonggyecheon in downtown Seoul. Once a sewer that was then filled in to support an elevated expressway, a restoration project in 2003 turned it into a lush 10.9km stream that shelters locals and tourists alike from the hustle and the heat.

📷 Leica M-A | Voigtlander Ultron 28mm F2.0 | Lomography Redscale 📍 Taipei 101 | Taipei, Taiwan

👆 At 508m, Taipei 101 was once briefly the tallest building in the world and remains today the preeminent icon of Taiwan. This photo is shot from the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi shopping area. Redscale converted an otherwise alluring viewpoint into something a bit more grim, bit more Mad Max/Dune.

📷 Leica M-A | Voigtlander Ultron 35mm F2.0 | Kodak Portra 400 at ISO 800 📍 Chan's Creative School | North Point, Hong Kong

👆 Just some street architecture during a weekend in Hong Kong celebrating a friend's birthday. Exact copies of this stairway design can be found all along Kings Rd. The tri-coloured building behind is Chan's Creative School in North Point.

📷 Leica Q3 📍 Kappabashi/Tokyo Skytree | Tokyo, Japan

👆 This photo was taken as I was shopping for kitchen knives in Kappabashi. The looming tower smothered in fog is the Tokyo Skytree, the third tallest structure in the world at 634m. As the crow flies it is about 3.2km from where I was standing for this photo.
